The Sports Museum of Finland is a national specialised museum dedicated to the preservation, research and putting on display items relating to the history of sports and physical culture in Finland. The Sports Museum was founded in the early 1930’s as a repository for a nationwide collection campaign of historic skis.

Open Fri, Sat, Sun 11-16 and also by arrangement. Kaivopuisto park, trams 3B and 3T. The home of the Finnish Marshal Baron G. Mannerheim with exhibits illustrating his life and Finnish history. This museum depicting the life and times of Baron Gustaf Mannerheim, Marshal of Finland (1867—1951), has been functioning since 1951 in the same villa in the Kaivopuisto district of Helsinki where he lived during the period 1924—51. With the exception of a few rooms that have been converted for exhibition purposes, his home has been preserved in its original state. Guided tours are available in seven languages, and the museum also possesses vast photographic archives.
