Brändö, the gate of Åland, is far but still near, e.g. only two hours from Turku. There are over one thousand islands, and ten of them are inhabited. The roads are in an excellent condition, taking you through a versatile countryside landscape. There are villages, green spots, rough cliffs, and vegetable plantations.
